What it is
A prescription-only medicine injected into specific muscles to reduce the movement that creases the skin above them. It is prescribed by the doctor at consultation after examining you — it is not sold from a menu, and we do not treat on a first visit without that consultation.
How it feels
Four to eight injections with a very fine needle, a few seconds each. A sharp pinch, then a dull ache for an hour. No anaesthetic.
What it treats
Frown lines, forehead lines, crow's feet, a gummy smile, jaw clenching.
Where it leaves you
Full effect. This is the day we review it and adjust if one side has moved more than the other — which is exactly why we ask for two clear weeks before an event.
Who this is not for
We would rather you read this now than hear it after paying.
This list is not exhaustive and it is not a substitute for the consultation — it is what most commonly means no, or means wait.
Everything we turn away- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Myasthenia gravis, Lambert-Eaton syndrome or other neuromuscular disorders
- Aminoglycoside antibiotics — they potentiate the effect unpredictably
- Active skin infection at the injection site
- Previous non-response, which occasionally happens and is not something we can promise around
If there is not enough time before your date
Not this time. We will not inject inside two clear weeks of an event, because if it needs adjusting there is no time left to adjust it. A hydrating facial the day before instead.

Whether wrinkle-relaxing injections is right for you is decided in the room.
Bring your date if you have one. A consultation is £45, comes off your first treatment, and about one in six ends with us recommending nothing at all.
