What actually happened, written down.
A photograph taken in different light, at a different angle, six months apart, can be made to say almost anything. So we write the case down instead — and we say what did not change.

Why there are no before-and-after photographs on this site.
Fabricating clinical evidence is the one thing a clinic can do that carries real legal exposure, and it is the easiest thing in the world to do accidentally: a warmer bulb, a smaller angle, a little more make-up, and a treatment that did very little looks transformative.
If we publish images later, every one will carry the session count and the elapsed time in its caption, and the second photograph will be taken in the same seat, in the same light, with the same camera. Until we have consented images that meet that bar, you get the written record.
Three records
Rolling acne scars, left cheek
Medical microneedling
- Sessions
- 4
- Course ran
- 12 weeks
- Time elapsed
- 6 months between photographs
At the startLeft cheek in raking window light: a band of shallow, saucer-shaped rolling scars along the cheekbone, each one casting a distinct shadow so the surface reads as uneven.
At the endThe same cheek, same light and camera position, after four microneedling sessions and six months: the scar edges have softened and the shadows are noticeably shallower, though the scars are still visible on close inspection.
Same camera, same window, same seat, no makeup and no filter on either photograph. Scarring improves with this treatment; it does not disappear.
Medical microneedling: sessions, downtime and price →Melasma across both cheekbones and the upper lip
Cosmelan depigmentation with the six-month home protocol
- Sessions
- 1
- Course ran
- one in-clinic mask plus daily home care
- Time elapsed
- 5 months between photographs
At the startBoth cheekbones and the upper lip carry a symmetrical butterfly of grey-brown pigment with soft, blurred edges that merges into the surrounding skin.
At the endAfter one mask and five months of the home protocol the patches have lifted to roughly a third of their original density and the edges have broken up, leaving a faint mottling rather than a solid mask.
Melasma is managed, not cured. This patient remains on tyrosinase inhibitors and daily SPF 50, and the pigment would return within a summer without them.
Cosmelan depigmentation: sessions, downtime and price →Sun-induced pigmentation, right temple and cheek
Q-switched Nd:YAG laser
- Sessions
- 4
- Course ran
- 12 weeks
- Time elapsed
- 4 months between photographs
At the startRight temple and upper cheek scattered with about a dozen sharply defined tan-brown sun spots between three and eight millimetres across.
At the endAfter four laser sessions across twelve weeks the majority of the spots have cleared completely and three faint ones remain at the hairline, where the skin now reads as one even tone from cheek to temple.
Two further spots on the jawline were biopsied rather than treated. Anything we are not certain about gets examined, not lasered.

The next step
Your skin is not any of the three above.
Which is the point of a consultation. Forty minutes, £45, taken off your first treatment — and if nothing we do is right for you, you will hear that instead.
