What it is
A cross-linked hyaluronic acid gel placed in a specific tissue plane to restore volume that has been lost — most often the mid-face, the tear trough or the chin. It is dissolvable, which is precisely why we use it and never a permanent product.
How it feels
Local anaesthetic is in the gel itself, plus numbing cream beforehand. Pressure rather than pain, and an odd sensation of movement under the skin that most people find stranger than it is sore.
What it treats
Flattened cheeks, hollow tear troughs, a soft chin line, deep nose-to-mouth folds.
Where it leaves you
Swelling has gone and the gel has integrated. This is the shape you keep, and the point at which we photograph it.

- Autoimmune connective tissue disease
- Dental work or an active infection within two weeks either side
- Previous permanent or semi-permanent filler in the same area
- Known hypersensitivity to lidocaine
- Anticoagulant medication without a note from your GP
